DentalIf you are in search of a new dentist, visit Robert S. Sykes, DDS. We can help you improve your oral health and the appearance of your smile. Regardless of whether you have visited the dentist in recent months or it has been years since your last checkup, we have the expertise required to assist you.

If you need an additional reason to visit our dentist office, here are a few of the main reasons our current patients schedule appointments:

Reasons to visit our Marietta dental office.

#1. Whiten their teeth

One reason we get calls from people who do not normally visit the dentist is due to teeth whitening. Teeth whitening procedures have gotten incredibly popular and mainstream. As more people seek to have bright and brilliant smiles that are free from yellow stains, visiting us for a teeth whitening becomes a matter of course. In fact, some people visit us a couple of times a year for this procedure specifically.

#2. Get rid of a toothache

A toothache can be debilitating and make it difficult for one to function throughout the day. Toothaches can also interfere with one’s job or when engaging in conversation. We understand and suggest that if one wakes up with a bad toothache, that he or she calls us right away for treatment. The patient may have a simple cavity that we can treat right away.

#3. Help with bleeding gums

If the gums are bleeding after brushing the teeth or on a regular basis, this can be an early sign of gum disease. While bleeding gums are not necessarily going to cause pain, they can be embarrassing and uncomfortable. We recommend that the patient visits our office right away, so we can examine the patient and determine if one does have gum disease. If so, we will need to treat it right away to ensure that the condition does not worsen.

#4. Damaged teeth

Most people will damage a tooth at some point in their lifetime. Dental damage can be due to innocent mistakes like accidentally bumping a tooth while playing softball or biting down on something that is too hard. No one plans on damaging a tooth, but when it happens, it becomes critical to visit a dentist who can restore the tooth right away. Otherwise, the patient can end up in a situation where the damage spreads. When one visits our office, we can discuss the restorative solutions available and make suggestions for how to give the patient a beautiful-looking smile again.
